I couldn't resist the chance to match my tank up against Victoria and the other beatiful tanks. I'd be happy to pull my entry if BigByrd decides to no longer allow previous nTOTMs in this month's contest.

jedimike - I was told it was a yellow turbinaria, but could it really be a sunset monti? Interesting Coral either way. Yellow polyps look like stars when calcium levels are high.

I still think it would be fun to have all ntotm to compete together. Talk about some hard voting...

no, i say purpleup stays in, everyone who entered stays in....but i like the idea and think that we should stick to whoever wins novembers nano tank of the month should stick to those rules so that december ntotm will be all previous ntotm winners against eachother. everyone thats in stays in now though...and obviously can still enter in decembers. but again thats completely up to the november winner...but they should be ok with it. and if ez's tank is in recovery thats even more reason, gives him time to get it back up and running.

SOOO we got about 7 more days to enter, lets see more tanks

Glad to hear it BB. Let me know if you have a change of heart and I'd be happy to wait until December or whenever.

Victoria - The colors are true to life. I use the underwater mode on my Cannon s80. They're Tub's blues from AtlantisAquarium.net and I grew them out from a 4 polyp frag.

Let's see some more awesome top-down entries!

or would it make more sense to have a tank of the year? all winners from january til november going up against eachother would be cool...but that would also mean junkitu would be out of this month...but victoria would stay cuz she last won in december of last year...i cant make decisions on my own though, so tell me what u guys think...OH...then the winner of november would be in control of januarys contest since the rules will pretty much be set for december...i may be thinking too much but it makes sense if you think about it

oh i forgot to mention that the winner has to give me a frag of my choice...i already have em picked out from everyones tanks...k thanks

I think Junkitu should be able to stay in this one and still be up for NToY. If he wins 2 times this year, so be it. But for next year, maybe make it so they can only win 1 time per year. For my input, I get a frag out of the runner up's tank of my choice.

It is Yellow Turbinaria. Sunset montis look way different and encrust rather than plate.

i'd enter mines but it's in the stage of cycling... haha. it's a great tank for top down shots because it's a flat, square nano...

My only problem is I can't seem to get a good shot from top down because of the MH reflection. And then if I move it too much the tank goes darka nd you lose a lot of the colors. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with my lack of photography skills too though.

That's a pretty cool Idea. I'll give that a shot and see what I can come up with I've been wanting to enter one of these for a while anyways just for the heck of it. What's the cut off date for entries?
