Count me in... It would be nice to get to know some locals that share my passion of this hobby!

First order of business from my end...

I'm making a run to Foster and Smith tomorow with my truck. Anyone need some salt? If anyone wants to get into a group buy send me a PM. I would just ask a few extra bucks per bucket to help pay for gas.

Up till now I've been buying a bucket here, and a bucket there. But I'm gunna get a few this time.

Also... Could I be the unofficial FVRC photographer? I have awsome rates on my reef aquarium photo session packages. I work for the experience! (Donations accepted)

If you would like to preview some of my more recent work with my new camera, here's a link. Most of them arn't much more than just average, as I'm still getting familiar with professional digital photography.

Great pics Alan. Can we share the role of RVRC photographer though? I should have my D70 by the first meeting *crosses fingers*

Ok... disreguard my message about the drive up to Rhinelander tomorow. I just discovered Petsmart on Westhill will honor the online price of $32 in their store. Hmmm, that'll save me about 30 bucks in gas. lol

aberg - those pics are awesome!! Nice work. Are they straight from the camera or altered with software??

Either way, the colors, clarity, and detail are nice!!

Thanks mrpink44. For the most part they are straight out of the camera... for those shots the only editing done was the normal RAW editing, which basically consists of setting the white balance via a gray card, and checking the histogram to make sure it's properly exposed. Photoshop was only used to resize and save as jpegs.

aberg - I'll have to "hire" you to do some photos of my tank when you have time. I have a decent point & shoot digital camera, but nothing like what you're using. Very nice!

Any time I'm free. Just send me a PM as to when you think you may want me to visit. My days off are sorta goofy. I work 4 days then off two, so my off days always rotate forward one week day. I'm off Today (sat) and tomorow. Then friday and sat, then thurs and fri, etc etc... And I work 2pm to 10pm, and usually sleep untill 1pm. LOL (Not much of a morning person.) But if I have to wake up in the morning, I SUPOSE I can.

I was never at any of their meetings, but we can make this club anything we want. I'm looking forward to seeing where we can go with this....and hopefully it's in a positive direction.

Count me in. Are you planning on keeping it in the valley with the meetings or all over the state like WRS?

Welcome BryanJ and cyberlady. Everyone is welcome to attend. I think we were sort of hoping to keep meeting locations in the Fox Valley, but nothing is set in stone yet. Hope to see you in a few weeks !!

The reason we are kinda starting this club is for local reasons. I think most of us would join WRS but I for one am not driving down to milwaukee or some where further to see somoenes 10 gallon Nano Nothing against 10 gallon nanos of course but I think you know what I am trying to say.

What are we up to so far in members/attendees? The number has to be getting up there.
