I'm all for the mini-split A/C (I have one after-all) but that unit you showed is pretty pricey. I got mine from www.genieac.com . Don't know if you ordered yours yet but you might check them out and you may be able to save some coin. Keep the pic coming.

No new pics yet-sorry. I found a source for 2 of the titan bins for $250 each used, in Cali, but still undecided about the sumps. Once a decision is made, I'll be on to plumbing -

Change in plans- the 150g has become a frag tank seperate from the display system. It is run by a seq. Dart and I put a euroreef rc135 skimmer on it with some left over 400w mh/power compact fixtures for lighting. The fuge is gonna be underneath the tank as soon as the sump containers are decided on. The split a/c system is in place and ready for hook up. My electrician is gonna add a 100 amp sub-panel in the fish room for extra juice-pics coming soon-

Keeperz,
Tank is looking good. Hopefully I will get the chance to come over and see it sometime. It was good meeting you at Jacqui's the other day.

SO THE 700 IS STILL IN THE MIX BUT IT IS AT THIS TIME MIXING PUKANI AND REEF CERAMICS-LOL. THE REEF ROOM HAS BEEN HOLDING 70-73 DEGREES THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AND THE TANK WATER IS SITTING AT 72-73. SO FAR I HAVE A HAMMERHEAD-TWO DARTS-THE SKIMMER -ONE SEIO AND ONE WAVE BOX RUNNING INSIDE THE TANK .THE HAMMERHEAD IS PUSHING TWO WAVEYSEA PLUS AND I AM LIKING THE RESULTS. I DID GET THE TUNZE ATTACHMENT BUT WE SHALL SEE HOW THAT PLAYS OUT. I DID ADD A DEHUMIDIFIER IN THE ROOM AND IT IS WORKING GREAT.MY BABY UNICORN TANG IS THE ONLY RESIDENT SO FAR AND I AM STILL DEBATING ABOUT HIM, I HAVE LARGE BLONDE NASO WAITING IN THE 450 ALSO-HUNG THE LIGHT RAILS BUT I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A LIGHT RACK-

Where does a guy get a vat like that? I've seen them used elsewhere as well.

Cheers

Fish look great. I am still debating the whole vlamingi question. I would caution you about having too much rock in the tank. It's hard to tell but it appears that you have rock almost to the water surface. I am not entirely sure what your tank goals are, but many of the "advanced" reefers I have discussed this with have removed or are planning to remove a good portion of their rock.

The issue is that when you have a large amount of rock in yor tank, there is no room for corals to grow, and you greatly reduce water volume. In a FOWLR or soft coral dominated tank, that rock scheme would be OK, but for an SPS tank, you will get crowded fast.

I think it looks nice the way it is aquascaped right now, and that design would lend itself well to a school of small fish that like to dart in and out of the rock work. It's always a matter of opinion and philosophy of course!

Ahh Jnarowe my man-I love your honesty. I agree
that there seems to be alot of rock in the tank and
I have been fighting with myself on removing some
or not. Keeping in mind that I will have 2 waveboxes
and 2 to 4 tunzes, the rock hides some of that, but
I do think that the open look is real nice and maybe
I should remove a few chunks. The good part is that
the rocks are big pcs. and in theory should have less
avalanche's-honesty is always appreciated on this
thread guys-thanks!!!

Mg21 and Alphabet-thanks a ton and
Waxxie-MarineCenter.com is where I got my vats

Joe - Looks like it's finally coming together. I agree about the rock. You might want to take some of that out. You can't even see the Reef Ceramics...

Let me know if you have extra, I might buy it off you for the 350, if it ever gets set up. How does that rock look?
