got it! You wouldn't believe the funny things I have won at meetings, like small skimmers etc. Everyone knows I can't use the stuff so I get a bunch of wry looks. I usually trade it.

What did the Elos kits cost you? Is that from John's store? I might pick up a few while I'm visiting.

John's store isn't a supplier. It came from one of the other LFS. The Calcium was $30 and the KH $17. I got a 10% discount off that for mentioning my local club.

I really liked the ease of doing the test. They were recommended to me by John an LFS owner that can't carry them. So that made me feel pretty confident in them if he was sending me to a competitor to buy them.

I just discovered my first Acro-crab. He is in the large colony I traded for a few months ago. I am pretty sure he is the harmless kind since that coral is doing great. He looks just like the pics I have seen of the good ones too.

Wish my tank luck! I am going to be gone for 5 days and have a new tank sitter this time.

Well made it back (a couple hours late! Thanks Jet Blue!). Lights are out but everything appears to be in good shape and I can even see some growth! Pics of NYC will be coming soon.

Thanks guys!

I really like black and white too. It is amazing how much it can change the feel of a photo. I thought it was cool to compare this one both ways:

More on topic: Marc you got me thinking with your Anthias addition so I got John and Brian (aka Kingfish) to order me some. I got them today. 1 male and 3 female Squamipinnis. I will try to get some pics tomorrow. All 4 ate when I fed this evening!

nice pics in your NY gallery, especially the B&W ones. As for the fish, nice additions. A friend of mine is supposed to bring me some lyretails also, but I'm a bit hesitant as I had some before and they wouldn't eat anything. Congrats, they are beautiful fish.

Just a quick update on the Anthias. All 4 are doing great and eating like pigs in the feeding frenzy that is dinner time. I also think I have that chiller re-sold for what I paid for it, so that is a good thing.

Love the anthias, Gabriel, excellent score! I'm sure they look great in your reef. Do you plan on feeding them with an automatic feeder while you're gone during the day, or do you hope to feed them only once daily?

I feed when I first get home around 3-4pm and then again at around 8pm. I think this will be sufficient... at least I hope so!

I think I lost my Orange Spot Goby. I haven't seen him in 3 days now. It is really strange since he was always active and eating.

On a more positive note, Marc is coming tomorrow and we are doing a tank tour. I need to go clean my skimmer!

Weird. I didn't get notification of your reply.

Well the tank tour was a great success. We got to see some awesome tanks and it was nice to get to know Marc in person. He just stopped by a little while ago on his way out of town to pick up some frags.
