Anguswu-
1. How many inches of fish would you say you currently have? and how often do you feed them?

2. With all of your beautifull corals and LR, how many gallons would you guess to have?

thanks...I just love your tank and want to model mine after it.

Thanks for your compliment.

Now the biggest fish is two inches. The twin spotted wrasse may grow too big for this tank, but I will take it to others big tank at that time.

I fed fishs twice a day with very little food and the shrimps and crabs may help to clean the waste.

Main tank has 26 gallons and sump has 7 gallons.

Sorry to hear that. How long did you have him and how long did you have the two angels together?

I have the flame angel for 9 months and have the porters for 6 months. The day the flame was healthy but one night I did not saw it come out for eating.

The sump picture.

You can also see it in page 2.

The zeolite can be bought in LFS as ammonia remover. It look like a grey stone.

well I am quite impressed. Just read through the whole thing.

As luck would have it a friend of mine is getting rid of a 40 gal breeder so I was looking for ideas for a tank. Now because of Angus it looks like a shroom tank is my best option.

Keep up the good work and the awesome pics.

Shrooms is fit in the nano tank. They don't need a very good water parameter and large space, plus shrooms are colorful. For the shroom, only the yuma is not so easy to keep, others are very easy. Hope you build a nice tank.

For the guy on the last page asking about how to get Yuma's to stick to rubble. I put them in a clear acrylic box in a low flow area of my sump. I cover the bottom with rubble so there is no spot that isn't covered, and I rubber band a peice of screening to the top. Leave it there until it attaches.

Works like a charm for Ricrodias, Yumas, Mushrooms, etc!

The water flow is not so good for the flat nano. Mushrooms are not so good in there. I took them to this tank. I am still thinking how to improve. No update on the flat nano atm.

anguswu I was wondering about your live rock. In the pic it looks like you have quite a few small pieces instead of large ones. About how many actual pieces of LR do you have stacked?

I think I have more than 30 pieces. Most of them are flat.

Two weeks ago, it was a tragedy. The chiller's water supply pump died, and the water temperature raise up to 33 celcius. I lost 5 or 6 discosoma, 3 rhodactis, acropora, 3 recordea fl., 2 yumas and porters angel.

I set up the tank again, move some corals to the flat nano, and added some rics. Here's the results.

Under HQI 20000K

Under T5 actinics.

Sorry to hear about the mini crash. Glad it's back to normal. Can't even notice anything went wrong.
Nice shots btw!

A way that I have found to keep my Shrooms stationary, is to pierce the foot with a needle and light gauge fishing line, then suture the foot to the rock where you want it. Usually, you can find a spot in the rock that is pourous enough to thread a monofilament through or that the calcareous rock is soft enough to punch the needle through. Just tie it off and snip the ends down close, and the shroom will attach in a day or two. Then just cut the fishing line and slide it out.

Oh sure the shrooms are mad at you for a while, but they get over it.

Good luck!

Wouldn't putting it on a piece of rubble and then rubberbanding a piece of cheesecloth over the top of it for a day or two (as done with Xenia) work just as well?

I love your tank...even post-mini-crash. I love those Ric's under the actinic!
