I't was a gift from my wife(back then she was my girlfriend), I really don't know what importer brought them in the Country.
It was by luck they came her way.
The anemones I got from a few sources. Thanks for the kind words.
Adrian

The eggs look a lot better due to I think to me feeding a lot more now than I did before.
I have almost all the eggs that they laid this time around, I should get a high hatch rate and hopefully have some fry to show for all the work.

LOL. Used to be, all a girl had to do to land a man was cook. She knew the way to your heart was not through your stomach, but your fish tank.

Wanted: Single male seeking single female. No need to cook, clean, nor darn my socks. Just buy me clownfish.

Too funny.

That part is easy. Find someone who is willing to take care of YOUR purchases, then you win the lottery

jeez a purple also.

man im trying to raise the SG in my tank

added 450gall worth of salt to 430gal of water and my sg is at 1.013

going to get some salt today and add that to see if i can get it to raise any. and my tank is cloudy from adding the salt it was semi liquid salt and i added all 400g to the fuge then mixed it and then started the pumps to let it go thru the tank

my tank was clear but now with the salt in the water the sump/fuge are clear but the display is still cloudy dont know how long it will take to clear up but i hope soon. i was thinking about getting some air tube and connecting my reactor with carbon in it and throwing a polyfilter in there but i think the cloudy is due to the salt not being really dissolved but just dumped in so im giving it some time.

sorry for rambling in your thread but i hope to have my tank with some kind of life in it soon so i can start heading down the path you have chosen.

What are you using to measure your SG? I would try a calibrated refractometer if you aren't.

dont own one yet but the sg is at 1.017 this morning after adding a bag of salt that makes 50gal. im going to have to really add more to get it up the semi liquid salt im using requires 80# of salt mix to be added to it to make the 400gal but i didnt see that note until a day later so im adding the extra salt to bring it up slowly even tho there is nothing in there i dont have the salt.

The only reason I was asking was because I used to use swing arm hydrometers to measure my SG and they were off by as much as 0.005. My tank was actually 1.029 when the hydrometer was reading 1.024.

Sorry to clutter the thread!

Brian

To get the thread back on topic...

How big is your tank that has the clowns? I looked through the thread and couldn't find it. Are you concerned about having 4 carpet anemones in one tank? I've heard they grow to be 12" across or more and if they all get upset at the same time I would think water quality would be a problem.

How soon until the eggs hatch?

Brian

The Caps are in a 40 gal breeder, I'm not really concerned about the 4 carpets right now being that they are small 10" -12" max on the largest and about 4" on the smallest.
The tank will be taken down here shortly and move to my new house.
The eggs should hatch in about 2 days or so.
