My bad not the lyretail but the ventralis or longfin. Those are the ones I've been looking for.

sorry sang, was wondering if you decided on a lighting fixture yet ?

I'm going to go with a different one myself too, the aquactinics is too loud for my taste and for my living room.

I was thinking of a grotech, but not sure how loud that one is either.

What have you found?

I'm in a quandary and can't decide between the Giesemann Infinity (2x250 hqi w/4 t-5's) or the Elos Planet 2's. I can say for sure that I will get one of those.

Get the Infinity Moonlight.

The dimmable options are sweet. The moonlight is really bright too.

LOL, I wish it were that simple. Treg, how is the interruptus doing? I miss mine dearly and would love to have them back.

Yes, I was sad for you when you sold them. You had the flagship pair!

Shes getting FAT!

Picking on my big clam tho. When I get the time to finishing setting up my frag tank the clam is getting moved...

Trust me, I really think you would enjoy the Moonlight version.

Perhaps I'll look into the moonlight. I received my anthia order yesterday. I had ordered 3 ventralis and it didn't work out so well. One came doa, the other died within 30 min. However, I am happy to report that the third female is ok. She actually ate today! I am sooo excited about her. The colors are simply amazing. Here are a few pics. Yes, I am no Kinetic. My pics suck!

Thanks Chris. She is out in the open and nibbling on tiny pieces of homemade fish food. I hope she makes it.

Thanks Art. Well, I just fed her again and she is definitely eating! It looks like she's going to be just fine. This the second time I've fed her today.

Beautiful anthias, Sang. Hope that she will do well in your tank. Btw, do you have a full tank shot of the tank?

No full tank shot yet. The rocks are too bare to post pics of. This was my fault as I pretty much killed them. I did feed my little female ventralis today and she ate like a pig! I think she's going to be ok! I just had another crazy thought. I've always wanted lots of fish and never dared due to corals. I would love to have a harem of ventralis, a pair of regal angels, a conspiculatus (I can dream, right?) and a red sea butterfly. These fish would not work in an sps dominated tank. Perhaps it's time for a fowlr?

Thanks Alicia! The female continues to do well. I left for the weekend and came back on Sun. Oh boy, did I have a scare! I couldn't find her anywhere. I thought she was dead. A few minutes later, I fed the tank, hoping she would come out. It took her about 1 minute to come out of her cave. She started to feed immediately. Whew, what a relief! I have my replacements coming tomorrow. I just hope they do better than the first couple. If they are doa, I will not order anymore. It is just heartbreaking watching these beautiful fish die.
