I ordered mine a few years ago for my CS6-1 but didn't have the room. I bought this CS8-3 really cheap and the drain size is the same. You could always make yours I bought mine for $40. I cannot remember wear. You could probably google it.

rc250

I got a new gray impeller, about 2 weeks ago for my rc-250, just put a dwyer airflow guage on it and it's bouncing between 10-15. Should it be steady? Why is it bouncing around?

The bouncing is normal, but I think you should be getting a little more air than that.

Hopefully ER Tec can give some insight

EuroReef tech, I am not way too happy right now. I called a week and a half ago and left a message with tech support at Euro Reef about the Uniseal that connects the tube from the Sedra 5000 to my skimmer body. I specifically stated in my voicemail that the original Uniseal was siliconed in place because the original hole was drilled too big for the Uniseal. The hole is 1 7/8" in diamter. Obviously it should have been drilled smaller to accomodate the 3/4" Uniseal. I was told I needed a Uniseal part #50302. The one I just received via UPS is the exact same size as the original that came out of the skimmer WHICH WAS TOO SMALL FOR THE ORIGINAL HOLE. I was also told it's not a Uniseal but some other fancy name you guys give it. It says UNISEAL right on the damn thing. Any help you can offer or am I stuck siliconing this one in place as well?

EuroReef Tech,
I was told to call ER yesterday by clay and talk to Chip. I left a message with him and was told he would call me back. I have yet to hear from him. All I wanted to know was how high should my horizontal section be for a gate valve mod on a CS8-3. Even with the union, below, or above? If there is more info I need then please just call. I was Tony from the 219 area code on the voice mail.

rc-250 w/eihem pump

anyone with a RC-model skimmer (with eihem pump) knows what the air should read when hookup using a dwyer airflow guage. Mine reads between 9-11 (bouncing up and down) with the air valve on and 10-15 (bouncing up and down) without the airvalve. Does this sound right.

im not a er tech but i can tell you a quick way to silence it. its kinds like the muffler on your car ( same principle)

take a 35mm film canister and cut a whole in the bottom the same size as your air tubing and do the same with the lid of the film canister

cut about 2 iches off the top of your air line and stick that through the top and close the film canister
then stick the bottom part of the film canster onto the air line tube of your skimmer.
i know i have sedra 5000s and when i did this mod you could hardly hear them

Hi Guys

I have an old ER skimmer that I got a while back and was wondering about modding it where I can feed the overflow directly into the skimmer with the recirc mod. Can someone show me how to do this with the parts I need? Or direct me somwhere I can see how? Thanks

jay

shure i have done it to 3 skimmers now and fixin (southern english)

to do it to my used 12-2 that i am recieving i am also going to mesh mod my 5000s on it.

best thing to do is look at the rc models they give alot of detail.

one main trick ive learned is when drilling with a whole saw through acrylic you want to do it in reverse.

you can buy the stuff from lowes as far as pvc quick disconnects etc.
i just bought mine tonight. i also was able to find grey pipe to make it look like the rc models to do two pumps is was 20 in parts. and my uniseals cost me 10 shipped for 3

the thing is I have the old dolphin pump and I was wondering if it would work if I put it vertically and placed it outside of the sump.

Film canister? What is that? Is it a special package that the SD memory card comes in?

I have a Euroreef RS180, and I had trouble adjusting the valves. But a couple of days ago I just removed the air valve to get more air into the skimmer.

Heres 2 days of skimmate with the air valve

Heres 2 days of skimmate without the air valve

Is this about right? or should I be producing more skimmate every 2 days?
