sand residue on tank walls
I've have a 90G AGA megaflow that I setup about 3 weeks ago. I used a bag of southdown sand for the sandbed but as I was filling up the tank the sand foam left a white residue all over the glass. I tried using a Kent scraper to get it off but I'd have to scrub for hours. It's almost like the foam calcified on the tank walls. Anybody else have this problem and do they have any ideas to get if off? The tank is up and running so I can't take it down at this point.
Thanks, Chris |

Sand residue can usually just be wiped off with a cloth. Are you sure it's not algae or something else? I use a razor blade myself.

I'll try the razor blade. Thanks for the suggestion. I've never had this problem with any of my other tanks!

I haven't either, hopefully that razor blade will scrape it right off.
