Vent Warning!
I just looked in my tank for the first time in a couple of days. I've had the lights off due to a little cyano outbreak. My Humu Trigger was sucked into the intake of the magnum canister filter. I put the magnum on two days ago, and sometime between then and now, someone managed to pull the prefilter off the intake tube. Trigger must have gotten too close, or too curious because his nose was stuck right up the intake. Looks like he had been there for a couple of hours. I have the worst luck with Triggers. My last one got Ick! I didn't think you could kill a trigger, I've done two of em in.
Thank you for your time. PS, If anyone is interested in a hawkfish, rabbitfish, or a coris wrasse, please PM me. |

Is that the orange spotted rabbitfish from Dr Macs?
Why are you getting rid of them? Do they have bad habits?

Al, the hawk and the coris are contributing to my lack of CUC. The Coris picks off snails, the hawk loves him some hermit crabs. The Rabbit is the one from dr Mac's. Pretty good fish, (habit wise)but already larger than when I bought him, and I think he adds too much to the bioload.

Man Coris Wrasses are beautiful. They need to invent a dog coller that shocks then when they go near a snail.
Just an internet photo of a coris wrasse Has the wrasse been eating large snails or just the small ones. Most of the time they go after the snall ones. I may be interested in him. Let me do some homework on him.

I suppose I'm keeping the 125 around for a while, I still have the stock tank I am planning on starting this weekend, maybe next. I really like the FOWLR look, but I need to have a CUC. No more Triggers/Wrasses/Hawks.
mech0522- The only tank I see with salt is a 30. Do you have others? The rabbit is a big ol boy to throw into a 30. Probably needs a minimum of a 75. Al- my coris looks just like that, adult colors. Really the prettiest fish I have ever seen. Not a model citizen. I've seen him pick off small snails, but also lost two HUGE turbos. That might have been the late Mr. Belvedere II (trigger, wife named him) |

I had a adult red coris wrasse like the pic above... i reffered to him as the devil... he would role my coral frags back and forth from one side of the tank to the next...
Ugh he was horrible i traded his *** in after a couple weeks.... but definently a beautiful fish. |
