Silicone needed-Anyone have some?
was hoping to resilicone the new 135 this weekend and ordered 6 tubes of aquarium silicone from petsmart. Paid a lot for 2 day shipping. Unfortunately, they waited 2 days to ship it so it won't be here until monday.
I have one tube from K mart that I bought 6 months ago but it looks like they stopped selling that. Anyone have any extra tubes or can recommend a place to get them? Thanks.

Go to Home Depot and get SiliconeII* 100% Silicone sealant its in a blue and gold tube It's Clear Window & Door and it's by GE I have been put it in my tanks and sump/fuge's for a long time and love it and it dont do any thing to your silicets in your water and it wont cost you a lot like at petsmart and its the same think as your geting at petsmart it just wont have the same name..

What you don't want is the anti-mildew mold treatment in the silicone, read the label and it will say if it has it, look for one that doesnt. Not all silicone 1 has it, and neither does all silicone 2 so you can't buy just based on that.

That why i'm saying the one that I posted about this one its the sane as the one that petsmart has in the 3oz and 1oz's and HD has the same thing in a 10oz tub

Just what I remember from seeing on the DIY forums. They seemed to prefer the I.
Just a quick search pulled up this...I guess it really doesn't matter but 'naturual' acid versus chemical cure. Not sure whats better http://www.michiganreefers.com/forum...ad.php?t=27632
