Skimmer Help???
I am rebuilding my tank and need skimmer help. my display tank is a 20H and the skimmer is in a 10g sump. I was using a coralife super skimmer 65, but had a tough time dialing it in. Has anyone had success with this model? Has anyone modded this skimmer to be more effiecient? And in a last resort, what would be another skimmer to consider? Thanks for your help.

I'm a fan of AquaC skimmers. I've used the Remora on tanks under 75 gallons with great success.

uhh. I'll vote against the remora. If you have a sump and can put a skimmer in it, go that route, you'll have better effeciency w/ an insump skimmer vs. hang on. Or better yet, if you have room in your stand, get some kind of recirc skimmer that just feeds from the sump and drains back into it, and the skimmer sits on the outside.

my original sump design i used the css65 as a hang on in the sump. You can see the design of the old sump in my homepage. my tank cracked from the extra weight of the external overflow i think. And then i lost everything in the tank. I am now going to use an internal overflow plumbed to the sump with the skimmer in the sump instead of hang on. i have heard of people modifying the coralife super skimmers making them more efficient and cant find anything on it. I would also like to avoid shelling out the cash for the remora.....
