Painting with light...

I tried out some "painting with light" as there is no moon tonight so the moon lights were out.

Basically, I manually focused a 105mm Nikon macro lens and then shined a 1-LED acentic light (a toy that came with a fragging kit) on the coral. Exposures were generally ISO 640 at f/10-f/16 for about 13 seconds.

There was no PP done except to export them at a file size for posting except one image I played with the color balance until it was right.

These were all taken with my new toy, a D3. Amazing what the camera can do at even high ISO's...

This hockey shot is ISO 4000, but did have some NR done in PP
