I played hooky today at......(more than 10 lines)

The Chic-fil-a Headquarters. A few of our patients work there and we all were invited to come for lunch and a tour. They have an executive chef that ROCKS. The gourmet pizza and calazone was unbelievable. There was country fried steak(stop drooling on the screen Jesse), red chunked mashed potatoes and all the fixens.
They have a self service FULL icedream bar, milkshakes and deserts for the picking. Complete fruit and salad bar but who needs all that.

After lunch, desert, icecream sundaes and milkshakes we took the tour of the museum, the offices and the special distribution center.
The entire building was covered in art, bronze statues and glass sculptures. There was a layout on his floor of his "dynasty" china that you could touch, oh yeah you know I put my grubby little fingers on it.
As we were walking I noticed the carpet was like walking on air, I looked down and saw that we were leaving footprints in this carpet. I asked why it was so soft, he said something about $1000 per square foot. We made out way to his office, of course we had to work our way thru his 4 assistants, who were as nice as can be.
His doors were open and Vickie and I just stopped in our tracks. Our jaws dropped and then we took a deep breath. WOW just WOW. The first thing she noticed was the custom made Harley Davidson Recliner, the first thing I noticed was the hand knotted oriental rug on the floor (approx 8x15). Our guide(patient) said make your selves at home. She ran to the Harley chair and I ran to his chair behind his desk. OMG talk about comfy.
By this time the lemonade, milkshake and cappuccino was ready to leave. I asked for a restroom and was told look to your left. Well duh of course he has his own office bathroom. Ever sat on a gold toilet? Me either it was a normal very nice bathroom, except he had little yellow rubber duckies in the bathtub and he like Dial soap.

From there we went to the car floor, yes a floor, looked at the cars, antique carriages, sleighs, trucks and more handmade wood carving. He owns the ORIGINAL BATMOBILE! I sat in it and flipped switched and pretended to go fast while Vickie sat shotgun and giggled. "rolleye1: Top speed on it is 23 MPH, it weighs over 8000 lbs.
Moving on to the Chick -fil-a museum was another amazing place to be. Pieces of his original resturant before the remodle and his ledger on his opening day sales....$126.43. That was outragous in 1942 for any eating place. There were various memorabilia from over the years, family photos, award and very famous people he has his picture with.

We, our families, have been invited back to the Family Christmas Open House. He is holding it on Sunday so that his family can be there, he's all about the family. I can't wait, that should be fun. I was unprepared today but you better know I'm bringing my camera when we go at Christmas. It will be a dressy affair we were told, that means it's gonna be awesome I hope.
