Ca reactor question
All,
I am thinking of bulding my own Ca reactor for my 120 gallon tank. I have looked at many website and have seen that most Ca reactors for a tank this size are about 18" or 19" tall and have a chamber with an OD of 4" or 5". Unfortunately, the piece of acrylic tubing that I have available is not that tall, it is only 11" tall, but it has an OD of 6". Can I still use this piece of tubing to make my own Ca reactor for my 120 gallon tank that will contain mostly SPS? I guess what I don't know is what is more important when it comes to a Ca reactor, the total volume of the height of the reactor? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
