Let's see your trigger!

I am interested in seeing your reef/non reef triggers. Mainly wanting to see blue throats, sargassum, crosshatch, black durgon, nigers, etc you get the picture, lol.

Thanks,
Kyle

All of these were reef safe. My current durgeon has been well behaved, but I don't have any pictures of him.

My crosshatch pair. As you canm see, in a reef. The males has destroyed the chromis group I had, but haven't touched a thing otherwise.

Male about 7", female about 5". She looks smaller in the pic, but is growing closer and closer to his size.

How long have you had 'em? Were they small when you got 'em?

Thanks to all. They were a bit smaller when I got them. Unfortunately, if you want a male, it's gonna be big. From what I understand, male crosshatches do not come at small sizes. But perhaps some of you guys who collect, like Alkalitoes, MattRGB, or Zemuron, can clear like light into that.

There is a guy selling a pair here on RC who claims he's got a pair where both are 4"- but I have my reservations.

They are cool, because the occasionally court, and spin around each other, with the male grunting and clicking. I actually even think the female went to nest earlier, because she holed up in her den (which scared the heck out of me), and came after my hand when I reached in to pick up a nori clip.

So you guys don't even hesitate to spend $400-$500 on a crosshatch? I would never be able to spend that on a fish that will try to eat my other fish and shrimp...

Here's a couple of better pics of mine. They are some shy fish at first, it's crazy!

For what its worth, I paid $350 for a pair. By another member here on RC. As it turns out, his was "evicted" due to many pre-existing issues, but I ended up paying a little overb $400 for both and shipping. Well worth it for a pair of fish that are big, reef safe, colorful, personable.

Panda if I had the funds at the moment I would have jumped all over that too. Thats the price of a single female!
