Which would you buy H&S A150-F2001 vs. ASM G-4X
Was planning on purchasing a new ASM G-4X for my future 210 reef, but saw a used H&S A150-F2001 for sale. The H&S is a few hundred more, but do you think it's worth it? Everything I've heard about H&S has been great. One other question, can you run ozone through the H&S?

Just my 2 cents, I wouldn't consider the H&S A150 for a 210 reef, it's cutting way too close to the full capacity of the skimmer's max. If you had a light bioload fish only, it would be just fine. I would recommend that you look at the H&S A200 for a better sizing. I wouldn't go with ASM, I would look at other alternatives.
Take a look at the ATi Bubblemaster 200, it's $599 brand new and should easily handle a medium heavy bioload. |

Yeah probably a little small. BUt H&S is a way better skimmer than an ASM.
Look at the DAS EX3 if you want a recirc skimmer |

I am modding an ASM 4 that has the sedra 9000 b/c its performance was less than adequate. I wouldn't buy one again for a big tank. I'll be trying a DAS or a custom one from protein-skimmer.com soon enough.

the H&S A150-F2001 is to small for a tank that big. I had it on a 120 and it was to small. I now have an HS-A200-2x1260 on my 225g.
