Mixing Butterfly fish

Is it possible to mix b/f fish if you put them in at the same time? They are both the same size.

A Mitratus and a Falcula. They would be going in a 90 fowlr.

The FOWLR works for you as they are not reef safe, have read that both may form groups but have not seen anything on if they accept other species of butterfly fish. The Mitratus is a pretty pricey deep water species as to the more common shallow water Falcula.Don't know if that helps any but good luck.

Mitradus are pretty reef safe. They are a beautiful deep water butterfly that feeds on plankton. My LFS gets them in alot and has them in there reef setup and hasn't touched a thing. My friend has one in his 220 gallon reef and has been a model citizen for 3 years. I have read some horror storries about them turning on certain corals. It seems its a hit and miss. I have a declivis butterfly which is a deep water species in a reef and has been a model citizen too. The tinkers are another deep water species thats a beauty.

I would not mix two Butterflys...especially two of the same genus. My Raccoon is Queen of the tank
