Only if the fish struggle to swin against it...

Rule of thumb:

Reef tank(with corals, etc.)....20 times turnover per hour
Fish tank.....5 to 10 times per hour water turnover rate

Good Luck!

I run a Tunze 6060 in my 4x2x2 FOWLR tank, the fish have no problem unless they swim into the main stream of the flow(near the Tunze outlet).

Its 6000l/hr flowrate which turns over the water approx. 13.9 an hour.

I think slow fish such as lions wouldnt like the strong current but i dont think fish such as tangs, damsels, chromis, triggers would have a problem even like it.
I also like having strong current in my tank. Otherwise i see lots of dirt between rocks.
