Turbinaria question
My Turbinaria fell and injured some of the underlying soft tissues, consequently about 3 rows of polyps died. Now, algae is growing where the polyps were located. Is it possible to get polyps to regrow on the top? Is there any way to "trim" the unsightly portion away from the healthy portion?

I would play it safe and remove the algae covered portion- you dont want it getting a stronghold on the colony, which could lead to it killing off healthy tissue.
To trim, a dremel works very well. Fairly precise and easy to use. If that isnt an option- heavy duty frag shears, wet/tile saw, concrete floor, etc. Suggest the dremel though...
