Are little giant pumps good ???

I've found little giants to be well priced and seem to have really good features... Are they reliable, or should I be looking at other external pumps ???

Look at another pump. Kinda noisey and kinda hot. At least the ones I have had.

How much water are you trying to push? You cant beat a sequence pump, but they are a bit more expensive. But dead silent and super cool.

I use a little giant. pretty reliable, but it can be noisy. I put a folded up rag under mine and then the sound is pretty low.

I can't really say much about heat, never compared but I've run one on my 125 for over 6 years, it failed on me recently, cleaned it for the first time and it's running fine, so I've had very reliable performance from an md5, I believe it is.

Ya know what, brain fart. I am thinking of the Gen-X pumps. So scratch what I have said!

We do use the little giants on our skimmers at work, they do work well. Although I do like the panworld we use better.

Or somehow if you can make this work, which I think you could after head loss.

I looking for around 1200 GPH just for returns from the sump....

It's between the Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC, PanWorld PW-50PX-X, and the Velocity T4....

Blueline HD's are the same as the Panworlds from what I've read....

Are the panworlds a little more reliable than the little giants, or should I just go with the Little Giant pump ???

My little giant pump was great until i forgot to oil the bearings and it seized up on me. Mine was quiet and ran like a champ.

I would highly recommend the Little Giant, because how reliable they are and how well they run.
