Side effects of Interceptor?
I've been reading a lot of posts lately about effects post interceptor. They may be coincidence, they may have just been something overlooked previously. But the AEFW that have been popping up afterward have me questioning whether I should dose my tank or just leave the Red Bugs and get more Wrasses to keep the populations in check.
I don't know how detrimental these little guys are to the corals. Is the treatment mandatory? All corals would be treated in a second frag tank before any trades or sales, so can I live with these in the main tank? Does anyone know what the long term effects of the drug are?

I've noticed no detrimental effects to using interceptor in my tank other than losing my hermit crabs. In fact, since treating my tank my corals have never looked better. I've never heard about AEFW suddenly appearing after treatment, but in my opinion it has to be a coincidence. It just doesn't make any sense that a treatment directed towards arthropods could in any way affect a totally unrelated creature.

my polyp extension gets better after dosing and corals do great. I just do a 20% water change a day after dosing and have had no negative effects. My pods don't seem to die off, and large shrimp live through it.. hermits are instant death though. I have no hesitations to throwing it in there. I also do a little higher dose than recommended. As for the corals, I haven't had bugs kill anything, but the polyp extension is awful when they are on the corals. Good luck
