Nassarius Snails?

Hey all i have heard about the sandshifting star and dont want that, i was wondering about the Nassarius snials, are they just like the star? Let me know your opinion

Nassarius snails do not deplete the live in your sand. However, I am not sure about their long-term survival. I had them and they tend to disappear over time.

They bury int the sand and help keep it turned over and white, but they aren't detritivores as they're usually sold. They feed on carrion so they need to be fed meaty food occasionally unless there is enough leftover food already falling to the bottom.

carrion? As in birds? Thats really neat, natures got somthin to eat somthin in any habitat!

I wonder. So a dead bird dies in the ocean shore and theese nassarius snails just go and feast on it?

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!

Carrion means anything dead, not just birds.
