Cooks I need your help! ...too much vinegar
Alright RC chefs I need some help. I made a crock pot stew/sauce type thing. Came out perfect except I added too much vinegar so now it's too sour. Is there anything I can do to save the pot? Will baking powder help? Thanks!

Not kidding, draw off some sauce in a pot so you can test what you add and try some molasses or sugar. Sweet/sour.

What type of sauce are you making? Try adding more of your other liquid ingredients to help balance it out...

I don't even know if there's a name to it, found it off a search for easy crock pot recipes. The only liquid is tomato paste.
I will try some sugar!

sugar might in fact help. Test it on a sample, not in the main pot.

If you add a little bit of baking soda it should react with the vinegar to neutralize it.. not sure what the end product tastes like though lol

Olive oil or butter will neutralize also. It's a great add for saurkraut.
