FREE long spine urchin

For whatever reason my long spine urchin just isn't happy in my tank. He eats a ton, very active at night, but has had an issue with a few of his spines bleaching over the past few months.

Anyway, free to a good home in hopes of rehabilitation.

Pickup in SF, and bring a bucket as he likes to pop bags .

I've been kinda sorta looking for a long spine to graze on some algae, however at softball size I can't image that thing not knocking everything over in my tank! :O

We have one bigger than that in our tank. It cleans inbetween and around our SPS (but then again all of our SPS are encrusted, epoxied or otherwise attached).

It maneuvers pretty well around my coral, actually never knocked anything over.

Probably 6" across with spines fully extended...

Yeah, I had an urchin in my sump...great for keeping coraline off the sump walls so I could see in. I promoted him to the main tank recently.

I hope someone snags him before he goes off to 6th avenue!

Out of curiosity what does it eat? Just coraline? Or other algae? I have a couple tuxedos that supposedly eat coraline, well if they do, they don't care for the stuff on the front glass, ONLY on the rocks and stuff where it's useful.

I'll hop in line for the "save Spike from 6th avenue" foundation
