SpectraPure's new RO/DI system...thoughts?
http://www.spectrapure.com/low_waste_systems.htm
Just seen this is about to be released. I'm in the market for a RO/DI system and was planning on going with the MAXCAP. This is a newer version of the maxcap that claims to be more efficient. For the price tag of $899, I was wondering if it is that much better than the other maxcap for $350?

I have the MaxCap and it's great. I've read that the new one is just a more efficient MaxCap. Basically you get the same clean water as the MaxCap, but instead of having 4 gallons of waste water per 1 gallon of clean water, you get a 1 to 1 ratio. If you are paying for your water that would be the best choice in my opinion. But we all should try to conserve water and use the waste for something else.

Now what would be really interesting is if we can get our old MaxCap systems upgraded to this technology for a decent price.
We picked our MaxCap90 up directly from the factory and you might want to check into their GroupBuy program as we bought it as part of a GB for our local club - Contact Dana at Spectrapure dot com for the price list for your club and minimum purchase amt. |

This would be an excellent unit to get as far as water savings on the bill, I will look into a group buy. Maybe I can find another club that will do a group buy on these because the $899 price tag is hard to swallow
