The only skimmer that can handle that large of tank is your octo200nw, there's nothing else out there for that price. You can find it for 179-209bux

What is a good protein skimmer for 120 gallon skimming? If pricing is not issue. I think I want to invest in good skimmer. Forget about the $200 budget.

The das ex2, ATI BM160, h&S, Deltec, tunze, bermuda, there are a ton of options that will work. The octo will be your cheapest out there but not your best. Although its a monster fully modded.

I have a ATi BM160 and it's great on my 90g. You don't want to oversize too much with the ATi skimmers. But then, I've read the same for all the high end skimmers like H&S, Deltec and BK. as they work very efficiently.

I would definetly get a DAS EX2. These are great skimmers for a great price. Think the EX2 is just under $500 and is a recirculating skimmer!

EX-2 or ex-1 would work well. I think the ex-1 is under $300.

I'm very pleased with the Octo 150 on my 120G. I empty 2/3 of the cup, full of thick dark skimmate twice a week.

im deciding between the bullet 1 and the rs135 for my 120
the rs only used 40w of power, im leaning toward that. but the bullet is more efficient, but uses 90w....

No one use AquaC's Nozzle Jet technology? EV-120?

The new ATi Bubblemaster 160 uses 22watts of electricity, 800lph air draw and will skim circles around the AquaC(rap) skimmers as some have posted.

I've been extremely happy with my H&S A150-F2001. It replaced a EuroReef 6-2+ almost two years ago. I have a 110 gal tank and have about 50 gals or so in the sump.

I also believe that the H&S A150 is the best skimmer that you can buy based on quality construction and high performance. But the price tag is a bit high, so I went with the new ATi Bubblemaster 160 instead and it's a beast. The $200 I saved, I used to buy a Tunze Osmolator so now I don't need to topoff manually anymore.

My 135 with 50 gal sump system is well maintained with an EX-1. I previously had a Euroreef CS6-2+, the DAS skimmer is quieter, more efficient, and skims better.
