First time coral keeper..a couple of quick Q's about my new corals.
Can acropora be lifted out of water? Can you touch the coral itself to adjust it in your tank? Is there a certain minimum distance it should be kept from other corals or is it have more to do with total water volume of your tank?
I have a 45 gallon with 20 gallon sump. I have a small Seriatopora hystrix frag (pink birdsnest coral), a 6" diameter colony of some sort of Euphyllia species, and a medium sized frag of some acropora. Will these three corals be ok in a (24x24) 45 gallon tank? Anything I should be concerned about? The Euphyllia is on the bottom and the two frags are up on the rockwork on opposite sides of the tank. For flow I have two tunze 6025's, one at each corner of the tank |
