Thumbs up UPDATED List FS Equipment

Here's and updated list of equipment left FS first to tell me they want it gets it. I need to get rid of this stuff, so I'm no longer able to hold items, that doesn't mean I'm going to sell this stuff for nothing (I need enough $ to set up a stable nano as a replacement at my school), so prices are firm. Please only respond if you intend to get it soon. I'm open from now until monday morning for pick up. Equipment has been moved to my house in Lafayette; I will provide address on confirmation.

If I don't sell this first group of items by 12pm Saturday it will be going to Key's (RMRC just gets a first shot )

MRC CR-6 Dual Calcium Reactor with Blueline HD 20 pump and spraybar upgrade (I also added in a t, so that a probe can sense the 1st chamber PH)- $559 new FS for $350

Milwaukee sm122 PH Controller (used less than 2 weeks then sat around) $80

Milwaukee sm122 PH Controller (used and needs new probe) $35

Milwaukee Co2 regulator with solenoid and bubble counter
(needle valve need cleaning btw) $40

20lb CO2 Tank New and Full - $80

Aqua Medic Reefdoser Quadro used only 2 channels for 2 months- $375 New FS for $300

____________________________________________________

That's the end of the stuff I'd like gone by this weekend. This next section is stuff that will not be going to key's.

Dolphin Super AMP Master 7500 HP 1/3 HP (seal needs to be replaced, I will send it in to the manufacturer to get it fixed for you for $50 extra for the ceramic seal or $100 extra for the silicon carbide seal) comes with priming basket $400 new $250

Pinpoint Calcium Monitor with probe $100

2 old 400 watt magnetic ballasts - $40 each

2 Newer Advance 400 watt magnetic ballasts (not pulse start) $50 each

4 spider reflectors with mogul bases (If purchased with ballast I will wire for you) $20 each

Old GOULD pump 3.4 amp monster (not as monstrous as the dolphin :P ) $75

Little Giant 4mdq-sc $75

2 Sk200 via aqua protein skimmers with pumps (one was used for less than a week) $60 each

2 400 watt XM 10k Bulbs (run for less than a week) - $60 each

Brand New 6500k 250 watt Iwasaki $65

Ocean clear canister filter modded to work as Nielson reactor (no pump - I used it to stir up and dose magnesium) - $30

Pro Heat II 250 watt titanium heater with LCD display/controller - $20

JBJ dual 55 watt PC ballast (no end-caps) - $20
_________________________________________________

That's all I have for now. Please pm me if you'd like something. I am willing to ship lighter and less fragile items if the buyer pays for shipping and through paypal or like.

Thanks All
Malcolm

Do you have any data on the Gould pump, like a diagram of its performance at various head values? It might be useful to me if it's going to pump more than 500 GPH at about 17' of head...

Thanks!

Brad

Brad, I looked for information on it, but I can't find anything (I think it's way too old). My guess would be that it could do it easily, but again I couldn't find any info on the pump. Looking up a similar pump (a dolphin) it looks like a pump with a motor of nearly the same power would do 1800 gph at 17' head (but this is an older design and probably less efficient).

BTW this is a magnetic drive pump (like an iwaki or gen-X) not a direct drive (I suppose that's why it's still going strong ).

Malcolm,

Thanks for the info. I'm mulling it over, and in the meantime I wonder if you could confirm a couple of things:

From the look of it, Gould still operates and produces pumps for various applications. Looking at this pump, does it look like it was made for marine applications (i.e., no exposed metal parts, but corrosive resistant construction)?

Thanks,

Brad

The exterior housing (motor housing and motor mount) does have rust, so obviously those parts were not corrosive resistant, but the impeller and impeller chamber (all stuff water is actually exposed to) is made of some type of plastic. I actually got it from a closing fish store, where it was used for marine applications (obviously for a number of years) and have used it for marine myself where it has been trouble free.

On the SK200 skimmers: Did they work well, or did they produce lots of microbubbles that get into the sump? Anyone have experience with them?

Thanks,

Brad

Microbubbles weren't a problem, but fine tuning the air was an issue. I have two and was going to link the air intakes together and run it through a needle valave for extra precision, but I wasn't running them long enough to get that far (I would suggest doing this if you'd like really dry skimmate).
