Try checking in the Vendor Experiences forum.

Here is a link to some searches in that forum. http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin...der=descending

I've ordered two diff. occasions, three boxes total. It's good rock for the money. I won't look like much out of the box, but give it some time, and lots of interesting things will show up. I'm still finding things, including encrusting hard corals, on a batch I got last sept.

When I set up my 120 I purchased Walt Smith Premium Fiji live rock. It was awesome (and still is)! I did not get it from FFE. I got mine from The Marine Center. I am sure you will be pleased if you get Walt Smith rock no matter who you buy it from. HTH.

Hi,
I ordered two boxes of Walt-Smith from FFE this morning. It's being shipped on Wednesday due to arrive this Thursday, remind me on Thursday morning, and I'll take a picture of what the LR look like for you (spread out individualy on top of trashbags.) I have a 2 megapixels digital camera w/ macro shot capability.

Their website stated that they pick the rock b4 they send it out. So, I hope I don't get any round bolder pieces. If I do get stuff like that, I might as well buy Gulf-View.

Polo,
Did you order pre-cured or uncured?

Thnxs for the info Vpham.
I am looking forward to ordering with them since thoses prices can`t be match in any LFS.

How much LBS per pound for 45 LBS @ 45 anyways ?
Sorry that sounds confusing but you know what I mean.

I have bought several boxes of LR b4( not from Walt-Smith,) and the box weight around two to five pounds or more(w/ all the damp newspaper/packaging/rubbles.)
-------------
Heres' a quote from Walt - Smith:

"We ship exactly 42.7 lbs of rock in each box and that is what we charge the customer for. However, the box will say 21 kg on the outside (44 lbs total shipping weight) but we do not charge them for the box weight. Some wholesalers do take advantage of the 21 kg mark and charge full pop and this is very much out of my control at this point. "

-----------

I would mail order for half to 3/4 of the amount of LR that you need for your tank, then hand pick the rest(so you can get the shape you want) from your LFS if they're cheap enough (even w/ FFE's good sale price, I'm not saving much per pounds comparing to buying it locally.)
