Do lights burn out?

When I got to my office yesterday morning, my 10K light was out and only the actinic was on. Do these lights just burn out?

They can. Biggest thing to watch with MH lights is hrs that it has been on. These lights will continue to burn, but the light shifts to
red end of the spectrum and this will create algae issues. Mike/KD9RG
