250w elec. ballast 120-240v can it be used on 220?
I've got a maxkor mh ballast that i've had using in toronto...
currently, i am in korea and starting a reef tank here in seoul... I have the ballast with me and want to use it here... but not too sure if i can use em here since, korea's voltage is 220V 60hz... I tried using the up-transformer and it did fire the first time... but doen't anymore... i think it has to do with amperage... (says 1.5A from the transformer) and 2.1A required.... here is the picture of the ballasts information... since it says 120-240v 2.0A, can i just change the plug and plug it to the wall? would it work? TIA ![]()

It should.
I would go to the manufactures web site and just make sure of the wiring for the plug. |
