Looking for a 29G

I'm moving soon, and i think it would be good to upgrade my 20Long to a 29, drilled, since it has the same length, I can use it on the same stand. This way then I can put a nice sump below .

Anyone have one or know where i could get one cheap ?

Petco in North Haven is dismantling their fish system. $25 for the large tanks (35 gallons tall?) and $20 for the smaller tanks (20 gallons cubish). The tanks need some TLC (especially scratches and copper). The money goes to the petco foundation, so you can feel good about buying them. Tanks like this retail for 150 -200 due to the thickness of the arcrylic. All are drilled and come with the bulkheads

I bought three tanks today .

Ask for Keith the manager (I signed him up for membership, so be nice).

Great Question! I asked it in BRS group a few weeks ago when their local Petco was getting rid of their tanks. No one seemed to care or be worried. It will be worth it to see how their tanks are working out.

I need to research if an acid bath (5% HCl) will damage the acrylic and will get rid of the metals. If that isn't feasable, I will try polypads and do a real test of the system for residual copper. If I can maintain pods, then I'll try a frag of some Xenia and a leather. Then go for the rock and sand.

I'm thinking of doing something really different for these tanks. Maybe a mantis tank? An urchin tank? Gobies and shrimp? Maybe a 250 watt pendant and sps. I'm interested in other ideas.

See y'all Saturday.
