End of Cycle?
I started cycling my 55 gallon tank on June 6th with a couple of jumbo shrimp. Today my reading are:
Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 15-20 My nitrates appear to have gone down. I also have very little algae growth. Is my tank finished cycling? Isn't there supposed to be a big algae bloom when it finishes cycling? Should I do a big water change now? |

Do a water change (10-20%) and you should be good to go. The algae will come in time

sounds like it. i agree - do a water change, get the nitrates down to zero, if possible, or close, 10 or less is good. and yes the algae will develop sooon enough my friend. first brown, then green. then add the clean up crew. good luck

Looks like things are winding down. I'd do a water change and test for a couple more days to make sure its stabilized and then add your cleanup crew.
