Tank Cleaning Maintanance
Hello everyone:
Just wanted to know what is the best way to replenish water after cleaning the gravel and doing monthly water changes for a saltwater refugium system?? I know you are not suppose to put tap water straight into the tank. Is there something out there that I should purchase for this >??? Thankyou |

The RO/DI is really worth it. I just realized the benefits and have ordered on myself. My corals are gonna be alot happier.

This RO/DI System gets connected straight to a water source?? Or is it the same water thats in your tank goes in and then filters and then goes back into your tank??? What I am saying is, Do I have to run a line from a sink straight to the RO/DI Filter, and then the water goes into the tank??
Thanks |

Yes first the water goes through the RO/DI then into the tank. Of course if you are changing water you still have to mix salt into the water.
bass, RO/DI water is so much better because it is pure and doesnt contain dissolved organics. The things that are found in tap water that can be very harmful for your tank. Someone should be able to explain it better than me for sure. This is just what i understand about it.

Helps the fish, helps the corals, helps with phosphates and other water problems that can cuase algae. Just say everything lives a much better life when they are living in RO/DI water.
