Good morning! I have a question regarding the fish. I received one that I ordered online on Saturday, and like I have started doing, I placed it on a 10 gallon quarantine tank with about 15 pounds of live rock from my display. This might seem like a silly question but, do mandarins get ich? I hate to quarantine it for no good reason, I know the best bet for survival would be to place on my display which has about 100 pounds of live rock and plenty of copepods. The fish looks very healthy and colorful. Please let me know what you think is the best way to go on this.

Mandarins have a slime coating that prevents them from getting ich. There is a slight chance they could transport ich into your tank. I recently got a mandarin, and it went straight into the display. The sooner it can start hunting, and eating the better!!!
Here is some good info on mandarins. http://reefcentral.com/modules.php?n...showpage&pid=3 |

Quarantine is undesirable for this fish. Place into the main display immediately.

I will do that when I get home. Thanks for the advise. I have so many copepods and stuff on my display he should be happy there.
