Mesh Mod Questions....

Ok, I've seen all the hype about the mesh mod, but is this something I should try? I am using an Aqua C Remora Pro HOB skimmer with a rio 1400 pump, will modding the impeller give me an increase or none at all? Thanks for any input.

The remora uses injection to produce bubbles. You cannot meshmod this type of skimmer.

A meshmod is for a needlewheel pump. Adding the mesh cuts up the bubbles finer.

A mesh mod will not make your skimmer work better, it will make it work worse. As impur says, a mesh mod is for a needlewheel skimmer. With a needlewheel skimmer the pump breaks up the air into small bubbles. In your skimmer the pump forces water through an injector to make the bubbles. So if you decrease the water pressure, which the mesh mod will do you will get less bubbles rather than more.
