Ammonia Question

Just wondering if soft corals like Xenia, are affected by ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates?

I'd expect that ammonia would be a problem at some level, although I don't know the limits. Nitrite and nitrate don't seem to be a problem at the levels seen in tanks.

ammonia can cause a problem more so than nitrite
but xenia acctually do better in higher nitrates than other corals...most likely because of all the nutrients in the water

I would be more worried about the xenia taking your tank over. Good beginner coral but can be more trouble then its worth. As these guys can grow fast and aggresive.
