Has anyone used the aquastick epoxy in their tank to mount rock or coral and then find the skimmer producing massive amounts of wet foam?
Mine is doing that tonight after I used some epoxy. Is it okay to just shut down the skimmer for a day until things calm down a bit from the aquastick? |

Howdy,
I experience the same thing when I use epoxy in the tank. Your tank should be just fine with the skimmer turned off for a day. I usually just adjust the skimmer, though, so the foam won't be wet and then readjust later. HTH, Ben |

The epoxy by Two Little Fish does that to the skimmer, try using another brand, I use another brand and no affect to my skimmer.

What brand do you use? Yes, I am using the Two Little Fishies here tonight. No more though for me, screwed up the skimmer too much.

I use the TLF stuff all the time with no problems with the skimmer. Bob

Well, I guess no more TLF stuff for me anymore. My skimmer is still foaming like crazy. I decided to just run it adjusted low. Cleaned out the collection cup and am just letting it fill and drain into the sump until it quiets down. I hope it quiets down in the next day or so.

if you've read the directions - yes it will cause excessive foaming..
I still use TLT Expoxy, because I like it.. the aquastick I dont - becuase its white, I prefer stone grey.

You are right, it does say that on the directions, I guess I didn't realize it would be this bad. I will take this as a good learning experience, right?
