Clam Changing Color ?
I just got a very large blue spot Squamosa from a local reefer. I'm wondering if change of lighting will have any affect on it's color. It's going from 250W Phoenix bulbs to 400W 10K Reeflux bulbs.
Do clams change their coloring depending on light? Here he is!

Thats a good looking clam, going from 14K to 10K it may look a little browner to you though.

It's got a very nice chocolate brown like coloring but right in the middle, it looks a little dusty. Like the skin has been spread. I'd like that to color up to the same color as the outside but if it doesn't, I'm not worried!
I'm also wondering if the blue spots will fade with higher lighting or brighten up. It's nice having a clam back in the tank!!
