sch 40 and sch 80 compatible ?
Dumb question, but need to know: is Sch 40 and Sch 80 plumbing compatible ? Meaning, do they both have the same radius, one fitting can insert in the other ?

Yes. The outside diameter is the same on both, its the inside that is different. Sch 80 has a heavier wall thickness so it is stronger but it will glue or screw to Sch 40 fittings and pipe. Sch 80 pipe will flow slightly less water since its smaller inside, but its not a significant amount less. If flow is a concern just step up a size like from 3/4" to 1" to gain flow back.

yes they are, 80 is thicker, but you can still glue them together and use them together.
