i have two 4s in mine. adding to 1's.

to put it perspective--the maxijet 1200 suregrip magnets are $25. The 1's are $30 with the magnet and do 105gph more.

I read somewhere that the Korilas burn out on wavemakers with short intervals. I also read that longer intervals were OK.

Right now I have two of the 4s on 2 hour on, one hour off, with 1/2 hour over lap. So far they are working flawlessly. If for some reason things go south with running them this way, I'll certainly post when it happens

i heard the same. THink about it like this though. at $30 each, if you have to replace them every year, is that so bad?

If a bunch of folks are interested in these, you should consider placing a group order to share the shipping cost that tops out at a $500 order. Additional D.A.R.C. discount of 10% at that level as well. (Would be a good time to order salt as well...)

whoops! multiple clubs, multiple forums, multiple websites...what's a busy reefer supposed to do?

Anyway, same discount available through RMRC as with D.A.R.C.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread...

If anyone else want's in on a group buy I'm looking to get a Korallia 1 and a bucket of salt in the next day or two... actually about $70 worth of stuff.

If you buy from Dr Foster's & Smith, don't forget to use the link on RMRC.info and help support the club.

If you want to support an LFS that supports the club - Key's Island will match online prices for Premium Members. What a deal!

Details on the RMRC sponsor page:

Trust me talking to some of the Lfs's they will offer the same discount also for group buys & it helps make sure that the Lfs's are around when you need them.
