FS: 10 Gallon QT Breakdown

I took down my 10 gallon quasi-QT/frag tank. I thought I'd check here before throwing it in the trash.

10 gallon tank with glass top and lights: $5
Whisper power filter w/ extra carbon bags: $5
LR: $20

Alright LB you run a hard bargain, the 10 gallon and power filter are free to anyone that will come pick it up. I'll keep the LR and dry it out if nothing else.

I'm not adding any more fish so I don't need to QT fish (and only 2 or my 10 fish actually went through a complete QT process), the lighting wasn't really enough to QT corals, I'm getting way too much condensation in the apartment, I'm tired of topping it off, and most importantly, I don't need the temptation to "upgrade" it and put any money into it!

The tank has already been taken down. I cut off the corals that were on the LR and put them into the refugium until I can find a home for them. The remaining LR is in a bucket with heater and powerhead. I'm going to redo the centeral section of rock in my main tank, probably cut that one large rock up (it's like a cantaloupe taking up a lot of space with out many places to mount corals) and maybe utilize some of this spare rock.

No way, I did the whole predator tank for 5+ yr. with an Oscar (and keeping a chameleon for 6+ yr . . . and growing up with snakes). I don't miss buying live food one bit. Even low maintenance is more than I'm wanting to devote right now. My life has been consumed by saltwater aquariums

yeah, i hear ya. i'm a little burned out right now too. luckily my system is pretty much hands off except for topping off water and feeding. its nice to just sit back and watch it grow, but not as much excitement when i dont have anything to frag or want to buy lots of new stuff.....lol
