Getting a Fission Nano-Protein Skimmer into a 8gal bio-cube

Hi Guys and gals,

Just got finished setting up a 8 gallon Bio-Cube for the wife as a kitchen tank.I picked up a used system and it came with a skimmer. How in the world do you fit it into the center chamber? The water level is higher than the recommended height for the skimmer.

Also, the setup is pretty quite BUT I would like to make it even more. The only noise I am getting is from the drop from the 1st chamber to the second.

Thanks everybody

Honestly I wouldn't even waste your time with that skimmer.

It does nothing in my experience and hundreds of other's experience.

You don't necessarily need a skimmer for these small tanks, just keep up on water changes.

That's what I was thinking also, I am just use to skimmers with the big system I also have.

Any ideas on quieting down the tank though? There must be a mod
