1/2" Tempered Glass or 3/4" Regular - Which would you choose?

For a 180g glass tank, which would you choose for the bottom pane? Assume that additional drilling will not be done. Which is stronger? Why would you choose one over the other?

Either is going to be plenty strong, and the tank is going to be heavy anyway. I'd get the 3/4" just in case I ever found the desire to drill it again.

EDIT to original post: The untempered glass is not 3/4". It is actually 16mm = 0.63"
