Teethless overflow box and tank level

I just think that if you use a single horizontal slit for the overflow box, the tank has to be quite level.

Slit narrower than 1/4 inch can be demanding on the levelness of the tank.

I guess if the GPH is not high the slit does not have to be long (wide) so the levelness is less critical.
