New tank algae problem....normal or not?
LR cured outside of tank from 9/8 to 10/11
Water and sand put in the tank on 10/7 Live rock added to the tank on 10/11 Inverts, 45 snails, 20 microhermits added on 10/14 Pods appeared on tank sides around 10/25 Algae appears on tank sides around 10/27 Snails doing a job on tank sides to clear algae. Not so good on sand and live rocks. Astrea and black turbo snails are great. Should I do anything about this algae or just wait it out?? This green algae looks like tiny blades of grass. Last readings...SG 1.023, Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, Nitrate=.8, PH=8.2

check your phosphates. most likely too high. algea typically grows due to high nutrients. If these are too high add phosphaban or equivalent and see what happens. also may want to add beneficial algea to your sump.
