Talking Clownfish getting busy tonight caught on camera.

First time I can capture them laying eggs. The female has been with us for 3 years. We added a few males but they didn't make it. Till this male came about a year ago. And they have been very happy couple.

They host in the xenia colony. The original home was the frogspawn, they still claim to be their vacation home sometimes.

I saw them cleaning up the rock today. And in the evening, they got busy...

Here is the video. The male nipped spreading xenia off the eggs. This guy really work hard

Very nice. Are you planning to raise the fry once they hatch?

Thank you for all kind words. Yes that's Elongata.

This is fourth time they mated. I have never seen them hatched in action. I think the tang and wrases will get them before I can

I keep hoping mine will spawn soon. They have been scoping out a spot for a while, but no go. What do you feed yours?

I feed regular flake food and some homemade food. I don't think the food has something to do with it tho.

I'm not sure if other tank mates noticed the eggs. I think they chose a good place before they spawned. And the little male is on duty 24/7.

I also thought the mandarin goby may spot the eggs. They are just about right size for mandarin goby meal at the right not too bright place. But so far I don't see anybody bother the eggs yet.

Today 3nd day, the eggs got darker color. Can't tell if I see little eyes in them.

The male regularly cleans the eggs.
