Tunze nano stream 6045

Anyone use these? Do you like them? I would go for the 6101's and a controller, but they are so expensive. Do the 6045's operate nicely and really push out 1200 gph with 7 watts?

Thanks.

I like mine on my 120, I just sold them to someone setting up a 120.

On the new 156, I got two sets of Vortechs for the backup battery function...peace of mind

I like mine and recommend them highly. I run two 6045s and two 6025s in my 37 gallon cube and the flow is perfect. They are more made for nanos and the flow is good for around 2 feet in length. Pretty nice pumps for the price.

I use them as supplementary flow pumps in addition to my 6100s. Nice flow, highly recommended.

Do yours push more than 2 feet in length? I have a koralia 4 which pushes out 1200 gph also and pushes 4 feet in length.

People have found the 6045 is only doing 960gph. I have 2 6045's and a 6055. Unless you do a mod to the 25/45. Your better off getting the 6055. The 6055 is doing over 4ft in my tank.

I am pretty happy with the 45 in my 120 tank, I have it push accross the top lengthwise, and I get a nice circular motion throughout the tank, top and bottom. That is with just one 45 too.
