building sump/refug

I have a few questions before I can start on this.

1. Where to divide my 125. Is split at the 33/66 mark? That would be a 4 foot refugium, is that good? Should it be 40/60 or 50/50?

2. What to divide it with, is plexi ok or do I need to go glass? How thick?

3. Do I need baffles or will a single wall with holes and pvc pipe that shoots into filter bags be ok?

4. What brand of silicone to use and do you know the store to get it, HD, lowes, ....

This is just my input, so take it for what is worth.
1. More than likely, 33/66 will be fine. Unless you are doing surges... I wouldn't think you would need more than 40 gallons in the reserve (pump) side. Just as long as your skimmer fits?
2. I would say have a piece of 1/4" glass cut. It'll work fine across 18". 1/4" acrylic will not. If acrylic, 3/8" may do it, but 1/2" to be safe.
3. This is where opinions will vary. I don't do the baffle thing anymore. I try other ways. A single wall with a few PVC pipes through it shooting into bag filters will absolutely work. I don't run bag filters myself, but this is a nice, clean way to make a sump.
4. I go to Menards to get my silicone. None of the 100% silicones that my local store carries have any mold inhibitors in them. I couldn't find a "reef tank friendly" 100% silicone at my local Home Depot....
